Union Jack Pub

Union Jack Pub is an institution in Broad Ripple, a neighborhood on the north side of Indianapolis. It was one of the first non-chain restaurants that I found in Indianapolis when I moved here over a decade ago. For that reason, it was a great honor to help them rebrand when they changed owners in 2014.

I wanted to explore the history of the pub, its unique features, and refocus the brand on what’s made it so important to the patrons that have been going for years. The logo’s shield shape is the same as the previous logo, but inside is a Union Jack/Indianapolis city flag hybrid. At the bottom, the pizza peel is in honor of the original restaurant menus which were printed on pizza peels. The small details around the the shield and pizza peel come from some of the interior features of the restaurant.
